Northern Adelaide Senior College (NASC) is embracing the vibrant spirit of multiculturalism during Harmony Week, a celebration that echoes the heart of Australia’s identity as a successful and diverse nation.
Harmony Week signifies more than just a celebration of cultural differences; it’s a tribute to inclusiveness, respect, and belonging for everyone in Australia. It’s a time when Australians, from the Traditional Owners of the land to the newest arrivals, unite under the banner of shared values: freedom, respect, fairness, democracy, and equal opportunity.
At NASC, the week kicked off with a delectable cultural spread prepared by the English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) class, showcasing the rich tapestry of global cuisines. Today and tomorrow, the school will host a lively cultural dance flash mob and an acoustic music ensemble in the HUB Open Space, inviting all to join in the celebration.
For those unable to attend in person, Harmony Week continues with a cultural dress competition on Friday and a captivating exhibition on Level 2, featuring Harmony Week messages and diverse cultural displays. NASC stands united in the spirit of Harmony Week, highlighting the beauty in our differences and the strength in our unity.
