Northern Adelaide Senior College (NASC) students enthusiastically explored a world of possibilities at the Positive Futures Expo, an event showcasing diverse opportunities for further education, training, employment, volunteering, and social inclusion in the northern suburbs of Adelaide.
The expo, held with the aim of empowering young minds, featured a plethora of stalls representing universities, vocational training institutions, community organizations, and businesses.
Students had the chance to interact directly with representatives, gaining insights into various career paths and learning about the wide array of programs available to them.
Sam White, teacher at NASC, emphasised the significance of such events in shaping students’ futures.
“The Positive Futures Expo serves as a gateway to endless opportunities. It not only informs students about potential career paths, especially those on the spectrum, but also inspires them to dream big and pursue their passions.”
The students eagerly engaged in conversations, asked questions, and participated in interactive sessions, broadening their horizons and gaining a clearer perspective on their future endeavours. The expo not only encouraged them to consider diverse career options but also highlighted the importance of social inclusion and community involvement.
As NASC continues to prioritise holistic education, events like the Positive Futures Expo play a pivotal role in guiding students toward informed decisions, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
